Although the day is cool and wet

The grass is green and full of violets

The tulips brave the long cold nights

Crocus and hyacinth are bold and bright.

Across the drive are apple and pear

Swelling buds everywhere.

Down at the river spring is known

By all the pussy willows growin'.

New birds arriving everyday

Singing the season of rebirth.

Everyday and in every way

Spring brings the blessings of Mother Earth.
