Momma's hands were there to hold me
And in her arms I gently lay,
She would rock me back and fourth
At night and through the day.

When I was big enough to walk
Momma's hands would lead me on,
She would steady every move I made
Until my legs became good and strong.

~~~~
Momma's hands would hold the bible
Then she would read to me each night,
A verse or two to comfort me
Then tell me, "God has you in sight"
~~~~

Momma's hands would make the bread
Placed before us on the table,
Then she would say a few words of grace
Thanking God for making her able.

As life went on and I grew up
Momma's hands were always there,
If I fell down she would pick me up
With all her love and care.

~~~~
Momma's hair is gray and silver now
Her hands are wrinkled and old,
Her wheelchair needs to be replaced
But she has heart that's made of gold.
~~~~

I love you momma with all my heart
And that's just the way it stands,
I would have never made it this far in life
Without the help from momma's hands....
