Once upon a time
A long time ago

Lived a little girl
Who wept but didn't know

There was life out there
Surely there must be

Four walls and a ceiling
Is all that she could see

The giant was her father
He growled much like a bear

Of him she was afraid
She knew he did not care

She knew one day
Her prince would come

She knew not when
Or where he'd be from

He would be so kind
Steal her heart away

She knew that this would happen
On some distant day

Years went by
The tale had not come true

She was feeling so sad
All alone and blue

Strolling down the avenue
Christmas time had come

Smiles upon strangers faces
She smiled back at everyone

Then it happened
Glorious sight

The star shimmered
Lighting up the night

Fairy dust sprinkled
Down from above

Showering beautiful
Rays of love

A young man
Extended his hand

He spoke softly
Saying this is God's land

He has given to you
A gift never-ending

It is called choice
So stop pretending

Life is worth living
So give it a try

Give of yourself
Hold your head high

The little girl
Is a woman grown

Has children
Of her own

The fairy tale
Did come true

It happened to her
It can happen to you

Merry Christmas
To one and to all

Look up to the stars
Watch fairydust fall
