It was with
shock and dismay as we sat in the car listening
to the radio
as the news came through of an aircraft hitting
the World Trade Building.
Omg, what a terrible accident we thought.
Minutes later they broadcasted
that another plane had hit the other
Tower. Obviously it became very
clear
that this was no accident, but a terrorist
attack of unprecedented proportions.
In the time
it took us to get home, news broke of the third
plane hitting the
Pentagon followed not to far after the forth
plane which crashed in Pennsylvania.
We could not
believe our ears and eyes as we sat glued to the
the news for the
rest of the day, unable to take most of what had
happened in. As the day
progressed it became evident of the sheer
magnitude of this awful crime towards
humanity.
We cannot
imagine those poor people on the planes, that
were told to ring
their families to tell them they were about to
die were feeling. We can imagine
it must have been so terrible. No amount
of words could convey them.
The Office
workers who were in those top floors when the
plane hit, did they see
the plane coming towards them, did they have
time to panic and run or were
they blind to their fate. This is
something we will never ever know.
To everyone
in the twin towers who ran to save themselves
when they realized
what was happening, only for the towers to
collapse above them, making it
virtually impossible for all to escape.
To all the
above we pray for their souls and the many
families and friends
they left behind who our hearts go out to.

The
Emergency services that had so quickly responded
to the initial crash,
who were there in force when they to
unfortunately were engulfed in the falling
debris as the buildings collapsed around them,
taking many of their lives. The brave
men and women who were there to save others,
lost in the line of duty. They will
be honored by not only the American people but
by people from all over the world.
They were
followed by more brave men and women who are now
trying to find and
save people trapped in the rubble. Hope is
strong after hearing today the find of 5
fireman who were trapped. We pray that
others can be found.
A huge thank
you for all the people who were there to help
and who are continuing
to help in anyway. Everyone must be
commended for their hard work and bravery.

Then there
are the people who committed these crimes, the
animals the
cowards, the people who will not show their
faces to admit that it was
them that did it. But they don't need to
show their faces for they will
be found and bought to justice. We believe
America, along with many other
nations has pulled out all stops in
finding these horrible wicked people.
We cannot
ever find it in our heart to forgive these perpetrators
and their
horrendous crimes.

We thank
everyone for the lovely emails that have been
sent to us,
the many links to other peoples pages which have
really touched
our hearts so much.

A candle, to
remain lit to help light up the darkness
Our Prayers and hearts go out to all that have suffered
in any way from this awful recent tragedy.
It has and will effect so many people in so many ways.
Not only in America but across the whole world
We
send our praise to the sheer stamina of
all the rescue workers who are working
flat out hoping to find survivors,
and clearing up the horrendous mess.
The thousands of volunteers
who queued up to give blood and donated
their time to help in the aftermath.

With
lots of love

We received the following
poem in our email from
Ruth Norman, it touched our hearts
so much we
wrote for permission to feature it on our page.
We
were gracefully granted that permission.
We thank Ruth so
very much.

An
attack on life
and liberty
this day
Viciously
aimed at the U
S of A
Fired into the
hearts of the
living free
It tainted the
souls of you
and of me.
Sorrow
and fear and
anger abound
Across the
universe
solace is
found
For evil
touches the
heart of us
all
And Into its
hand we refuse
to fall.
Together
we rise in the
spirit of love
Sending our
dead on the
wings of a
dove
For one and
for all we
deeply grieve
Your departure
not in vain we
must believe.
United
we stand tall,
courageous and
proud
Throughout the
world send a
message so
loud
To evil
straight from
Satan so wrong
To hell and
damnation
where you
belong!

Leonard Pitts
Jr. of the Miami Herald
We'll go forward from this
moment.
It's my job to have something to
say.
They pay me to provide words
that help make sense of that
which troubles the American
soul. But in this moment of
airless shock when hot tears
sting disbelieving eyes, the
only thing I can find to say,
the only words that seem to fit,
must be addressed to the unknown
author of this suffering.
You monster. You beast. You
unspeakable bastard.
What lesson did you hope to
teach us by your coward's attack
on our World Trade Center, our
Pentagon, us? What was it you
hoped we would learn? Whatever
it was, please know that you
failed.
Did you want us to respect
your cause? You just damned your
cause.
Did you want to make us
fear? You just steeled our
resolve.
Did you want to tear us
apart? You just brought us
together.
Let me tell you about my
people. We are a vast and
quarrelsome family, a family
rent by racial, social,
political and class division,
but a family nonetheless. We're
frivolous, yes, capable of
expending tremendous emotional
energy on pop cultural minutiae
-- a singer's revealing dress, a
ball team's misfortune, a
cartoon mouse. We're wealthy,
too, spoiled by the ready
availability of trinkets and
material goods, and maybe
because of that, we
walk through life with a certain
sense of blithe entitlement. We
are
fundamentally decent, though --
peace-loving and compassionate.
We struggle to know the right
thing and to do it. And we are,
the overwhelming majority of us,
people of faith, believers in a
just and loving God.
Some people -- you,
perhaps -- think that any or all
of this makes us weak. You're
mistaken. We are not weak.
Indeed, we are strong in ways
that cannot be measured by
arsenals.
IN
PAIN
Yes, we're in pain now. We are
in mourning and we are in shock.
We're still
grappling with the unreality of
the awful thing you did, still
working to
make ourselves understand that
this isn't a special effect from
some
Hollywood blockbuster, isn't the
plot development from a Tom
Clancy novel.
Both in terms of the awful scope
of their ambition and the
probable final
death toll, your attacks are
likely to go down as the worst
acts of
terrorism in the history of the
United States and, probably, the
history of
the world. You've bloodied us as
we have never been bloodied
before.
But there's a gulf of difference
between making us bloody and
making us
fall. This is the lesson Japan
was taught to its bitter sorrow
the last time
anyone hit us this hard, the
last time anyone brought us such
abrupt and
monumental pain. When roused, we
are righteous in our outrage,
terrible in
our force. When provoked by this
level of barbarism, we will bear
any
suffering, pay any cost, go to
any length, in the pursuit of
justice.
I tell you this without fear of
contradiction. I know my people,
as you, I
think, do not. What I know
reassures me. It also causes me
to tremble with
dread of the future. In the days
to come, there will be
recrimination and
accusation, fingers pointing to
determine whose failure allowed
this to
happen and what can be done to
prevent it from happening again.
There will
be heightened security,
misguided talk of revoking basic
freedoms. We'll go
forward from this moment
sobered, chastened, sad. But
determined, too.
Unimaginably determined.
THE
STEEL IN US
You see, the steel in us is not
always readily apparent. That
aspect of our
character is seldom understood
by people who don't know us
well. On this
day, the family's bickering is
put on hold. As Americans we
will weep, as
Americans we will mourn, and as
Americans, we will rise in
defense of all
that we cherish.
So I ask again: What was it you
hoped to teach us? It occurs to
me that
maybe you just wanted us to know
the depths of your hatred. If
that's the
case, consider the message
received. And take this message
in exchange:
You
don't know my people. You don't
know what we're capable of. You
don't know what you just
started.
But you're about to learn.
