Daddy are you listening?
I know you have no time today,
To spend some time with me outside
In the playground where I play.

I know you're far to busy
To fix my bike as well,
It's been broken for two weeks now
Who else can I tell?

Daddy are you listening?
I can not eat tonight,
My tummy doesn't feel too good
When you and Mommy fight.

Then when you turn and yell at me
And to my room you say to go,
There I sit in fear because
I hear words I shouldn't know.

Daddy are you listening?
I said, "I love you today"
But somehow I have this feeling
You don't hear a word I say.

So when I go to bed tonight
I'll say a little prayer for you,
Then maybe you will hear me
And then know what to do.
