You said be good, when I was bad,
You cheered me up, when I was sad.
You had an open heart to share,
It was you Mom, who was there.

When you and I would disagree,
It was you who said, "We'll see."
You had an open ear to lend,
It was you Mom, on whom I'd depend.

When I cried the tears I cried,
You really helped and really tried.
You had a shoulder to cry on,
It was you Mom, who I could rely on.

You put up with me all those years,
Through my laughter and my tears.
You had a helping hand to reach out to,
It was you Mom, that I could go to.

You tried your hardest to give your best,
Even though sometimes I was a pest.
You had an honest voice to hear,
It was you Mom, that I wanted near.

You put up with me all those years,
Through my laughter and my tears.
You had a helping hand to reach out to,
It was you Mom, that I could go to.
