I lived in a world of fears,
A world of tears,
Your temper it would fly,
Your fists would make me cry,
You left me beaten and battered,
My life all but shattered,
So many bruises, black and blue,
People would ask, but none knew,
Broken bones, busted lips,
I'm sorry, but I slipped,
Each time you would promise, never again,
Like a fool I'd let you back in,
Once again you would scream and yell,
Making my life a living hell,
Then came the day I died,
Time and time again you lied,
They finally locked you away,
With your life one day you'll pay,
I was beaten and battered,
Now my memory is all that mattered.
