This is about a very special girl,
That I was to bring into the world.

I thought of how I would rock her to sleep,
And how my love for her would grow so deep.

I thought if how I would put her to bed,
And softly caress the hair on her head.

I thought of how I'd be there to hold her tight,
When she was ready to give up the fight.

Then they told me she would never live,
To feel the love I had to give.

I thought of how this could happen to me,
What did I do, oh what could it be?

Then I thought, "God will be there to take her hand,
And to help her when she didn't understand."

God wasn't ready to let her come into the world,
That's how I know she's a very special girl.

I build my love around your world,
I love you, my little baby girl.
